Sitting back watching the medical and political system defending Gardasil is quite amusing. First, the usual bloggers who fall under the “anti the anti-vaccine people” catagory, take uneducated speculative ranting swipes (and I’m not providing URLs because their ignorance is worse than their insolence), and then, as usual, the media doesn’t understand the significance of this issue. Either that, or they have been told to shut up. None of them lived through the polio/SV40 debacle, and ants have longer institutional memory than journalists living under high pressure situations where the motto is “write, present and forget”.
Part of what they face are the fairy-wands or bulldust waved by manufacturers and government officials, to try to persuade journalists not to run the story. After all, most journalists have no idea that this is the latest in a long history of vaccine contaminants. The manufacturers’ and authorities’ intent, is that journalists will think the issue a big yawn, and not put pen to paper (“Mustn’t scare the public, eh?!” Pass the bean dip, please...).
What these people forget is that as part of the “process”, journalists come back to get your response to the ludicrous comments, which is very revealing. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sick.
The biggest piece of cream-pie-in-the-face so far, comes from the mouth of CSL’s Director of Media Relations, Sharon McHale, who decided to tell a journalist that….., “Gardasil may potentially have detectable fragments of DNA”, which she said were “expected residuals from the manufacturing process, present in very small quantities and are not contaminants.” She states there has been no identified link between the presence of fragments of recombinant DNA and adverse events. How droll when all the information provided by CSL categorically states that there is “no DNA”.
What part of “no DNA” does CSL not quite understand?
In the very next breath, the journalist was told “recombinant DNA exists in other vaccines, such as Hepatitis B vaccine, with no link established between any adverse effects and the recombinant DNA”.
Here are CSL’s documents for Hepatitis B:
http://www.csl.com.au/docs/15/78/HB%20Vax%20II%20PI%20-%20approved%20Feb2011.pdf
The vaccine contains no detectable yeast DNA but may contain up to 1% yeast protein.

Assays for cesium, polysaccharides, DNA, pyrogens and sterility are performed....
Why would they need to do assays for DNA present in the Hepatitis B vaccine, if it was an acceptable component of the vaccine? Read Full Blog

Gardasil, fairywands and bulldust.
FDA questioned about genetically engineered HPV DNA in Gardasil worldwide.
All New Zealand samples contaminated.
A few days ago, an American organisation put on their website a copy of a letter sent to the FDA, in which they stated that thirteen samples of Gardasil from Poland, France, Spain, USA, New Zealand and Australia, made in four different Merck factories (USA, Holland, France and CSL Australia) had been tested, and found to contain genetically engineered dna fragments which the purification process failed to remove. Yesterday, a more detailed press release was put onto SANE-Vax's site, which showed samples contaminated with HPV DNA 11 and 18. The New Zealand results can be seen here.
One of the genetically engineered particles found is said to be a genetically engineered syntheticaly constructed gene designed to instruct the yeast or baculovirus cells, to make the HPV-11 outer capsid protein (virus-like particles) for the Gardasil vaccine.
This is the Pubmed site for GenBank Locus SCU55993, which is the picture below, of ONE of the alleged contaminants:

Wavy lines mean nothing to me, and probably nothing to you.
SANE-vax's letter doesn't specifically say what the other contaminants are, but say that the rest of their proof is available for review provided that FDA provides " appropriate safeguards ... to protect the proprietary processes and information utilized by our laboratory to test the samples."
To me, no platitudes and fob-offs on this issue are acceptable.
The first question that comes to mind is,
"Is this a big deal?"
This isn't a quality issue in one factory.
The problem, according to the testing done by SANE-vax shows;
A global manufacturing fault.
A global manufacturing issue relating to vaccine design, process and purity - IS - a big deal.
The next question is:
Are the "genetically altered HPV DNA fragments" a big deal?

It's always interesting hearing why someone might want to help the movie industry scare the pants off people. In this Salon article, World Health Organisation employee, Dr Ian Lipkin tells why he vetted scripts, character acting, and why he ran around the set of "Contagion" for days on ending, making sure everything was "just right".
Of course his focus is promoting acceptance of vaccination to the point where he coaches an actress (Jennifer Ehle) in self vaccination techniques. Presumably he hopes all the participants of contagion are now vaccination acolytes.
But in the course of his enthusiasm, he says this:
We don't have crystal balls that allow us to tell you whether a virus is going to be pandemic, with high pathogenicity, or not. We do know the following: We know that we dodged a bullet on SARS, because SARS actually came through the United States, but it didn't get established here. We know that thousands of people died in China -- and I was in China; I saw the havoc it wreaked there. It was profound. And we know that if we were to have some sort of an outbreak -- or pandemic, worse yet -- in the United States, we don't at present have the tools that are required to rapidly ramp up some sort of a strategy for making vaccines and distributing them. Those are just the cold, hard facts.
He builds credibility in this way. "I was there, I saw it, I'm an expert, I'm from WHO, so I should know the cold hard facts". There's just a tiny wee problem here.
CDC's website says:
During November 2002 through July 2003, a total of 8,098 people worldwide became sick with severe acute respiratory syndrome that was accompanied by either pneumonia or respiratory distress syndrome (probable cases), according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Of these, 774 died.
Perhaps Dr Ian Lipkin got carried away? Quite a few of these deaths were NOT in China.
Here's a blog on SARS written by a chinese person.... and here's another site which says that there were 350 deaths in China. Wikipedia lists 349.
I'm not saying that SARS is a walk in the park.
I'm saying that World Health Organisation employees should stick to cold hard facts, not get out the "long on emotion"; "inflate the figures" and "our solution is the only one" gambit. It's predictable though, that the film industry should fall for it, because their business is messing with people's head, and scaring their pants off.
Medical history tells us that "misinformation" is the modus operandi of the medical system, which considers defending vaccines the ultimate in heroism; thinks nothing of inflating the risks of the disease, denying the risks of the vaccine, and hopes upon hope, that no-one toddles off to check out their facts to see if they told porkies in the process.
One day they might wake up and realise that every porkie they tell, cumulatively shoots more toes out of their feet, their feet off their legs, and may eventually amputate any remaining credibility in the minds of the "aware".
But a question comes to mind:
Do they even realise what they think are cold hard facts, are actually lies?

On 29th August, I wrote a blog about a blog discussing a doctor in Sweden who found arsenic in the Swine Flu vaccine. An astute reader reminded me of a 2009 finding, reported in Science Daily (pdf) informing readers that arsenic exposure, compromised the immune system when it came to swine flu:
"When a normal person or mouse is infected with the flu, they immediately develop an immune response," says Hamilton, in which immune cells rush to the lungs and produce chemicals that help fight the infection. However, in mice that had ingested 100 ppb (parts per billion) arsenic in their drinking water for five weeks, the immune response to H1N1 infection was initially feeble, and when a response finally did kick in days later, it was "too robust and too late," Hamilton says. "There was a massive infiltration of immune cells to the lungs and a massive inflammatory response, which led to bleeding and damage in the lung." Morbidity over the course of the infection was significantly higher for the arsenic-exposed animals than the normal animals. "
and
"Arsenic does not accumulate in the body over a lifetime, as do other toxic metals such as lead, cadmium, and mercury. "Arsenic goes right through us like table salt," Hamilton says. "We believe for arsenic to have health consequences, it requires exposure day after day, year after year, such as through drinking water.""
(Hilary - Okay, but what happens if you INJECT the arsenic (- which the Swedish doctor said were found at concentrations of arsenic [As] = 2.421 ppm and tin [Sn] = 1,511 ppm -) as part of a flu vaccine into the muscle? Does THAT arsenic, go through you like .... table salt?")
"Arsenic exposure not only disrupts the innate immune system, as the present study shows, it also disrupts the endocrine (hormonal) system in an unusually broad way, which Hamilton's laboratory discovered and first reported in 1998.
"Most chemicals that disrupt hormone pathways target just one, such as the estrogen pathway," he says. "But arsenic disrupts the pathways of all five steroid hormone receptors (estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, glucocorticoids, and mineralocorticoids), as well as several other hormone pathways. You can imagine that just this one effect could play a role in cancer, diabetes, heart disease, reproductive and developmental disorders–all the diseases that have a strong hormonal component."
So ... is there arsenic, injected along with Pandemrix.....???
What would we find if all the other H1N1 vaccines were tested for heavy metals as well? If arsenic and tin was found in them all..... how would it have got there, and ...... why?
Hmmm... is all I have to say. !!~!! Read Full Blog
