History Buffs will know all about “indulgences”. To put it colloquially, this is where the Roman Catholic church said, “if you don’t give us money to pray for your dead relatives they will languish in purgatory for long periods before they get to Heaven’s gate.” I see, that the Roman Catholic church is revitalizing the “indulgences” doctrine.
Except of course, there is no such place as purgatory, but it’s amazing what “authorities” of today can convinced their sheeple to believe, all in the guise of parting a fool from his money.
There is also a secular equivalent of religious indulgences, and that is the Kyoto Protocol, or Carbon Tax. This is where the Kyoto agreement says, “If you don’t pay us lots of money to offset the carbon emission you are sending into the air, then the world will burn up and die.” Of course, they don’t explain how these billions of dollars being extorted out of countries, will be used to “solve” so-called climate change. And given that these people have difficulty predicting weather from one day to the next, do you really think their climate change predictions are correct? Don’t you think it an amazing coincidence that just before the Copenhagen meeting Page A11 in the Herald regurgitates findings saying that the climate change “experts” have “reviewed” their figures, and tell us that their previous worst case scenario, isn’t bad enough? Yet another study, saying, “Oops, we got it wrong in the last one.” If the future proves them to be wrong with this report, will they refund the money? Not likely.
Perhaps one day, Al Gore and his corporate cronies who thought up this climate change “indulgence” money scam, will realise that not only can you not eat money, but that robbing everyone blind will actually prevents people from changing their lives themselves. But then, perhaps that’s what they want?
And we all know what the “weapon” is, don’t we?
Fear. “If you don’t do this, you and yours will suffer.” There are a whole lot of people just sitting there, laughing all the way to the bank at a populace as gullible as those who donate for spiritual indulgences.
How long will it be, before walking sleepers wake up to the fact that “science” perpetuates more money laundering scams than any church system has been able to think up so far?
