Whooping cough and chameleons.

Hilary Butler - Saturday, August 18, 2012

Following on from the medieval war of words on measles......., lies, emotional blackmail, weasel words and chameleon science is also being purveyed in the whooping cough battle.

Starting with the most obvious, is Vaccinet’s trumpeting headline about a Washington whooping cough outbreak recently that: "Anti-vaccine movement causes the worst whooping cough epidemic in 70 years."  Meanwhile other provaccine sites –while taking the line that everyone should have their pertussis shots with breakfast, no matter what age – at least have the decency not to lie in the text, even if the videos are outright blackmail.  Who in their right mind would leave a baby coughing, on their backs?. The medical profession says, about the Washington outbreak, that:  Continue Reading

Getting to the Point.

Hilary Butler - Monday, July 04, 2011

Perhaps this Australian documentary should have been labelled...

Totally missing the point. Or .. A bunch of Lies.  Take your pick.

The Australian 60 Minutes journalist who had the responsibility for doing the research for this programme, is professionally incompetent.

You will not understand this blog unless you take the time to download all the full text medical articles, tables, graphs etc in this blog, and study for yourself what a 60 minutes journalist refused to look at.  Or .... chose not to.

The increase in pertussis has nothing to do with the unvaccinated at all.  It's all happening because doctors in Australia have finally woken up to the fact that pertussis can happen in vaccinated people and are testing for it.

The reason all the old studies over-estimated pertussis vaccine efficacy was, as Cherry said in a 1998 medical article, that doctors believe that vaccinated people never got pertussis, so they never diagnosed it.  SIMPLE.  Pertussis after a vaccine was coincidence and something else.   According to Dempsey 2009, that situation still exists in USA today.

As to the Australian whole cell whooping cough vaccine, it was implemented solely on the basis of trust, because as CDI admitted in 1994, there were NEVER any efficacy tests done on it, and there were no "serological correlates" or tests to prove immunity, for them to use as a basis of discussion anyway.

Wonder what the Australian public would have said back then, if some doc had said, "We don't know if this works, because we don't know how to test for immunity to pertussis, but we assume this bright idea is a good one."

The Australian CDI went one further in 1997, and admitted that they ALSO... didn't collect data on the vaccination status of whooping cough cases either.  Continue Reading

Everyone knows who dunnit...

Hilary Butler - Sunday, June 26, 2011

Did you know that the Kahui twins were actually triplets?  Funny how so few media get that point.  It's a very important one, but perhaps the 'why' of that, is for another blog. You know, the easiest thing for Macsyna to do would have been to stay silent, and walk away.  It's interesting to me how so much key information is being "left out" of the media reporting.

If the police had evidence implicating Macsyna, she would have been on trial, not Chris. If Macsyna was found guilty, she would be in prison by now, not on the outside.

Why do people consider it their "right” to start a hate-mail/facebook campaign against Macsyna King and Ian Wishart?  Democracy in action, means people can talk to who they like, and write a book if they want.  Like David Bain.  There's plenty of Bain-haters out there, too.  Democracy in action means that people who have already made their mind up and decided David and Macsyna are guilty, because they "know"... don't have to buy the books

Trial by public assumption is more than the first step towards mob rule.  It's gang warfare of another kind.  Just without the colours and the patches.  But it's own "initiation" relies on emotional and social bullying, which if seen in children in school, would result in the psychologists being brought in.

Not long ago, I was contacted by a father, who had been (wrongly) accused of SBS of one of their twins.    Continue Reading

It's all about money.

Hilary Butler - Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Currently, there is considerable discussion relating to whether or not rodent viruses might be involved in CFS.  You will find three full text medical papers here. Obviously, we’ve always lived with mice, and Florence Nightingale had CFS, according to historical records. However, never .... since the invention of the syringe, and scientists brewing up drugs on animal cultures ... have so many people, being treated in so many different areas of medicine, had so many different animal endogenous viruses injected into them, one way or another, whether monoclonal antibodies, or whatever. And we all know, from medical literature that apart from vaccines, the majority of these patients in the past, were seriously immunosuppressed. We also know, that these immunosuppressed people excrete huge quantities of viruses into the environment, multiplying the opportunity of sharing with everyone else, their pathogenic loads.  Continue Reading

Carte blanche Feudal thuggery

Hilary Butler - Sunday, May 01, 2011

The Guardian today, produced a scrappy piece of journalism here, under the heading "Herbal remedies banned as EU rule takes effect." Whatever the actualities of what herbals will survive, and what is banned, is a much deeper  issue. The voices of the skeptical comments supporting only big pharma, fall into two categories.  The intolerant, who wouldn't know a fact if they saw one, and the "same old" spanish inquisitors, who are employed by someone to bully, snarl at, and smear anyone who is not a big pharma worshipper.  Their mantra is that "only" science understands what is good for you.  "Only" science is reliable.  "Only" science can cure you.  It's astonishing the depths of ignorance they reveal, yet... they have no idea.  Like" rebecca rabbit" who scoffed, "When was the last time a doctor told you to ... starve a fever and feed a cold?" Continue Reading

Nikki Turner's Science Friction

Hilary Butler - Thursday, April 28, 2011

Following on from yesterday's blog about Paul Offit's Science Friction, .. today's blog is about how Nikki Turner's presentations to the Parliamentary Select Committee are tainted with the same "blight".  Part of Paul Hutchison's recommendations to Parliament included Nikki Turner's unfactual statement (under her IMAC guise) that if vaccination against measles stopped, New Zealand would see 5,000 to 6,000 measles hospitalisation and 20 - 60 deaths per year. A pretty spectacular statement when the medical literature (and Starship hospital policy) makes it so clear that complications and deaths can be radically reduced with vitamin A.  In this upload, you will see IMAC's measles claims, and following that, you will see the death decline graph for New Zealand. Following on from that you will see....   Continue Reading

AAP's fever and antipyretic policy statement shores up big pharma

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, March 02, 2011

On March 1, The Wall Street Journal ran an article on fever  which was discussing the American Academy of Pediatric’s latest policy document on fever and antipyretic use.  which is exactly the snow-job you’d expect of an organisation wedded at the hip to Big Pharma. Out of interest, I submitted an e-response to Pediatrics. In the event of it not being put up, here is a copy below: Continue Reading

So who is the fanatic?

Hilary Butler - Saturday, January 22, 2011

Several times, I’ve been asked to explain my silence, and why I have not written about Andrew Wakefield in the past. My concerns started in 1981, and go much deeper and relate to much more fundamental issues than “that” paper. It’s up to Andrew Wakefield to clear his own name. It’s up to Deer to prove he’s right. There are far more serious, fundamental issues people need to face up to when it comes to vaccines.

On 6th February 2001, I wrote an article called More Motives Reviewed based on a publication WHO had put out in 1997 called “The CVI Strategic Plan Managing Opportunity and Change: A vision of Vaccination for the 21st Century.” (PDF is 5.23 mb) 1997 was the year that I realised that Henry Gadsden, Chief executive of vaccine manufacturer Merck was right, and that the plan was bigger than any one drug but encompassed as much of the drug list as feasible - including vaccines. I was shocked at the “reach” laid out by the WHO. And not surprised that "consumers" were never considered.  This was all about conditioning people to accept vaccines, and demand them.  This was all about getting the pretty, the famous, billboard names, media and the politicians to promote Henry Gadsden et al's vaccine dream.

Plainly, Wakefield had never read that plan, for if he had, and if he had had his pulse on the new vaccine development in the pipeline, he would have known that the CVI Strategic Plan was only possible, if the record of both the DPT and the MMR remained utterly unblemished, so that layer upon layer of other vaccines could be added into both of them to eventually result in super vaccines containing many antigens. Continue Reading

The coming police state?

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, November 24, 2010

What's your thoughts on Full Body Scanners?  That they are a total over-reaction?  My reaction is pretty much the same as The Washington Times, which unlike most New Zealand newspapers, does thoughtful analyses on really meaningful topics.  You all know the term, "The war on terror".  This "terror" can be interpretted in many ways, but lets start with the "terror" which resulted in the use of naked body scanners in airports.  Do you remember President Bush saying that the first response to Al Queda, was life as normal, and not to make changes which show they have won?  Well, USA has failed, utterly and spectacularly (which was to be expected), and Al Queda has most definitely won, as Washington Times amply illustrates.  Total, utter, irrational hysteria will bankrupt the USA, in pretty short order.  Why is that? Because USA loves listening to experts, who make their living from making maximum money out of diverse snake-oils. Not only did these "experts" cause the global financial crash, but these experts will bring about the total anhililation of decent society, and lead to global war.  Perhaps that is their aim anyway.  Perhaps we are all but pawns in the cynical games of politicians whose strings are also being pulled.  Continue Reading

Starship Doctors slammed

Hilary Butler - Sunday, October 31, 2010

In the Sunday Star Times today, Judge David McNaughton delivered a swift message to Starship doctors about predictive and substandard medical care, and the presumption of guilt without good cause.  The Judge found Famaile Lino not guilty of abusing his six month old child after Starship jumped to conclusions, and robustly defended their own preconceived mindsets.  The Lino's lawyer said, " "It's a very important case. It shows how suddenly a person can be at home with their feet up looking after their children, and a nightmare commences."  Here's the rub though.  Court cases like this USUALLY only happen to people like the Linos or the Kahuis.  Starship doesn't usually go after people who know what's going on; the limitations of the medical profession; and how to defend themselves.    Starship are of course, scuttling into a "risk management" position, by defending the indefensible: Continue Reading
